A cozy private bedroom and a Bavarian-style master loft share an open, perfectly appointed cottage with a cozy kitchen and living room with a single bathroom made for escaping city life and embracing the peace of the arctic forest, minutes away from the Talkeetna airport, and a short stroll into the Village, or a very short drive, if your legs are tired from all the hiking, snowshoeing, x-country skiing, river rafting, fishing, flight-seeing glacier trips, float-plane flying and all the gateway to Denali, has to offer. Just a short stroll from the Talkeetna stop on the Alaska Railroad if you want to save the drive but with parking big enough for your Alaska truck pulling seasonal toys.
Food Options
There are a handful of restaurants open year-round in the Village, including the Latitude 62, Denali Brew Pub, Conscious Coffee, Mountain High Pizza Pie, the West Rib, and the Roadhouse Bakery. The summer season has a plethora of food trucks and pop-up eateries, ranging from the Salmon Spot to the Talkeetna Spinach Bread cutie Airstream, Breakfast Candy, Mountain BBQ, the Burger Barn, and the Homestead Kitchen. There is also Nagleys General Store that stocks food essentials, ice cream, and coffee, and a liquor store. They are open daily. And no visit to Talkeetna would be complete without dropping into the 100-year-old Fairview Inn for a drink and watching the Supercubs take off overhead from the Village Airstrip.

Talkeetna is tiny, and no car is necessary to get around. We are less than a 10-minute walk from everything, but we do have bikes here for you! The Talkeetna Gear shop is on the corner, and they rent Nordic skis if you want to use the trails behind the airport.
