Enjoy the lovely setting of this rustic and romantic spot in nature. Our fishing cottage is located on our 40-acre farm with 800 ft. of Watauga riverfront access—paved driveways to the cottage and river. The home was recently renovated with all-new furniture, beds, appliances, and more. Linens, paper products, and toiletries are provided—everything you need to enjoy a fishing trip or romantic getaway.
This cottage is near our home but situated so that the usable space around it is private and opposite our home a couple of hundred feet away. The trees around the back deck give a treehouse feel. Paved roads lead around our barns to the 800 ft of riverfront.
This home is on a working farm. Guests may encounter dogs, both working and pet, cats, chickens, and sheep.
You can fly into 0A9 airport in Elizabethton and rent a car from the on-field Avis office.
If you’re flying a STOL plane and are proficient with no-go-around grass fields in the sub-500′ range, you’re also welcome to fly directly into the pasture in front of the cabin. If that’s the route you choose, we will brief you and share a video of the approach and landing and we will ask that you complete a waiver of liability before landing here.
We can provide tie-down space and may have space in the hangar for your plane.
