(Stearman fans… you’ll feel right at home 😉)
Welcome to a pilot-owned home in the heart of Carmel, Indiana—where aviation stories are always welcome and the coffee usually starts before sunrise. If you know Stearmans, you know the vibe. If you don’t, you’ll still feel it.
This listing offers a spacious private bedroom with a Master Queen Bed and your own full bathroom, perfect for a comfortable overnight or a longer stay between flights. Whether you’re here on business, visiting family, or hopping between airports, you’ll appreciate the easy flow and relaxed, pilot-friendly atmosphere.
You’re welcome to use the shared kitchen—we love to cook here—and you’ll also have access to an electric bike and scooter for getting around town. Feeling outdoorsy? There’s a boat available to rent on a beautiful nearby lake, and if you enjoy fishing, you’re in luck: the lake is great, and there’s even fishing right in our neighborhood creek.
(Yes, really.)
We’re ideally positioned near multiple airports, making arrivals and departures easy and flexible:
Noblesville Airport (I80) – 7.7 miles
Indianapolis Executive (KTYQ) – 8.0 miles
Indianapolis Metro (KUMP) – 8.6 miles
Indianapolis Regional (KMQJ) – 15 miles
Indianapolis International (KIND) – 21 miles
Whether you’re repositioning, training, or just passing through, this is a great place to tie down and recharge.
Carmel is known for being clean, walkable, and unexpectedly fun. Take a ride or stroll along the Monon Greenway, explore the Arts & Design District, or grab a great meal at one of the city’s many locally loved restaurants and cafés. If you enjoy live music or performances, the Palladium regularly hosts concerts and events worth planning around.
Looking to stretch your legs beyond town? Turkey Run State Park is an easy drive and offers some of the best hiking scenery in Indiana, while Clifty Falls State Park is famous for waterfalls and scenic overlooks—especially nice after a long sit in the cockpit.
Traveling with others? Additional rooms may be available:
Room 1: Full bed (sleeps 2)
Room 2: Full-size sleeper (sleeps 2)
Room 3: Queen bed (sleeps 2)
Room 4: Full & twin bunk (sleeps 3)
Bonus basement space with full bath, trampoline, wet bar, and convection stovetop—great for longer stays or small gatherings
You’ll enjoy a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood with quick access to everything Carmel and the greater Indianapolis area have to offer—without the hotel feel. If you’re looking for a comfortable place to land, hosted by fellow pilots who “get it,” this is a solid stop.
Tie down nearby, sleep well, and fly safe. 🛩️
Please note: this room is available only when I’m not in town.
